Thomas Tuchel has opted to stick with the identical Three Lions selection that secured victory against their previous opponents and produced a stellar display in Serbia during the previous international break, finding no place for Jude Bellingham and Phil Foden in his group for the upcoming friendly against the Welsh side and the World Cup qualifier in the Baltic nation.

Despite Foden pushing for a return to the squad after regaining his top condition at his club, and Bellingham having returned for Real Madrid following a surgical procedure, the national team manager has opted not to including two of the country's biggest attacking talents. The young midfielder has been in the starting lineup only once for his club since his comeback.

The England boss has found space for the Arsenal winger, who is fully recovered and has been reinstated in place of his injured Arsenal teammate Noni Madueke. Jack Grealish has not received a recall.

Tuchel highlighted the vibrancy in the previous selection and appears determined to keeping the same atmosphere. Tino Livramento, who featured at the defensive flank in the 5-0 win in Belgrade, has dropped out due to a knock. The manager has opted against selecting a like-for-like substitute for the Newcastle player but has selected the Manchester City defender, who had to withdraw previously. Tuchel has spoken about the centre-back's significance for England and has suggested deploying him in the middle of the park.

No spot has been found for the midfielder, who was selected last month but withdrew injured and was replaced by the Milan player.

Tuchel said: “It was only three weeks since the last camp and the most recent victory, the latest display, so the consideration was why not select the identical squad in because they established a benchmark. The focus now is on building routines out of it. We have regrettably two injuries at the moment with Livramento and Noni and we bring of course Bukayo Saka in to replace Madueke. The defender was a late call-up last time; he will stay in camp.”
